Becca Barnet recently sent us photographs of two commissioned bas-relief panels that her design company, Sisal Creative, fabricated with Aqua Resin. The pieces are Installed in a public corridor at The French Quarter Inn in Charleston, SC. The client asked that the pieces be inspired by the lowcountry landscapes of coastal South Carolina and emulate plaster panels.

She wrote to us: “Aqua Resin was the perfect material to use.... we were confident that our panels were rock solid, (gorgeous!), and that we could comfortably guarantee their longevity to the client”

Sisal Creative as Becca describes it is “a women-owned design/build firm located in Charleston, SC. We specialize in creating site-specific, custom art installations, custom illustrations, and fabricate models for museums.”

Becca herself is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration and also attended the Missouri Taxidermy Institute. She was previously employed by The Museum of Natural History in New York City. Becca was also a season-long contestant on the craft competition show, “Making It” on NBC.
